Picturesque
Long Lake covers 4,000 acres with a maximum depth of 74 feet, and is known for its excellent fishing. Its 99 miles of shoreline and spring-fed waters provide walleye, northern, big and small mouth bass, crappies and bluegills.
It's been years since the Long Lake Chamber of Commerce obtained the permission from the State of Wisconsin to use the "Walleye Capital" tag for the 4,000 acres of water poured into a deformed U-shape. But Long Lake,
with its deep bays and rocky shores, continues to prove that it's as good a walleye lake as any in northern Wisconsin... especially for the big ones!

I just wanted to thank both you and Ross for an absolutely perfect vacation! We really appreciate all the work you do to help us relax. I also wanted to mention that in cabin #2, the one we stayed in, there is a green batter bowl (a Fire King) in the cupboard which is an antique. You may want to replace it with something else and put it in your own home.
Thanks again for the great time! See you next year!

Dear Beth---
I just want to let you know that I can hardly wait for June! It broke my heart to not be able to visit last year---Dad lives for Lincolnwood. ( I think that is hereditary!) It was rough last summer...we all could use a break.
Looking forward to seeing you in June!

Ross & Beth Teasdale;
My wife MaryJane and I would like to express our sincere THANKS
for making our stay so memorable. The weather was to be expected for
northern Wi.., but we are both outdoors persons, and understand that you
can't control the weather anyway.... can you? The lake is beautiful and
MaryJane just loved the Cabin we had. We can't wait until the next time
that we can make it up there. Thanks again
Best regards
Dan & MaryJane Roach

Hi, We made it home safely. We are very tired but discussing our fabulous trip thanks to the Teasdale's, you really know how to take care of us. You are very generous, I hope you can finally make it down sometimes so we can return the
generosity. Ross said that cabin 3 is open for June14-21. If you could
pencil us in on that and if something opens the week later or whenever, we
can talk. Take care, The Sterba's

Thanks for all the enjoyment. It was a joy coming back to the area after 30 years. Fishing from the dock was so much fun and the bluegill were
not only big, but great to eat. We are looking at returning around the first week of August, with our other daughter, husband and two
grand-children. Is there anything available? Say hello to Cassie and the fine gentleman who was mowing and brought us some bait.......Thanks

Dear Ross and Beth,
This is a difficult e-mail to send but we find we can not confirm our
reservation for July 12-19. At this time there are just too
many unknows for the summer. Our weeks at Lincolnwood have always been
wonderful. I return home so relaxed. We will certianly miss this
time.
Should our situation change, and agendas become clear we certianly will
be contacting you to see if by some chance cabin 6 might be open.
With Regrets,
The Anderson's

Hey Ross,Beth and Autumn. My name is Mick Halvorson
and I stay in your number 2 cabin every opening gun
season. I just wanted to say I love your resort and
the people in that area. Your web site is neat and I
check in every once in a while to check out the
pictures. I'm going to be coming up to check out the
fishing on Long lake and wondering where in the heck
the walleyes are. Last time I was up I caught lots of
northern but not a walleye. I'll probably stop in
Saturday and say hi and maybe have a beer or a
bluesberry =). Thanx for your time and any fishing
info would be great. Goodbye

My best moments in youth were spent upon your waters.
May I return sometime with sons and daughters.
Some day soon over you the sun and moon,
To arise once more to the sound of the loon.

I miss Long Lake as I miss my departed family members. There is something special about this area. Yes, having key childhood memories tied to the place has added the power of the draw, but there seems to be so much more.
Some day soon I hope to return. It has already been too many years. My family used to own the Bogyville Resort, a small fishing and hunting lodge. It has been years since any of my family have lived upon your shores. Betty Bogy was the last surviving member, God rest all their souls. Walter, Rose, Betty, Francine, and William.
Keep in touch. As I run accross old photos I shall try to digitize them and email them.
Sincerely,
Grieg P. Ragen member VOLTAGE, the Rock Band and Construction 4 You

PS: I have been to the jungle, the desert, the gulf and south pacific. In my eyes I have never seen greater beauty than Long Lake in Washburn County, just different.

Dear Beth and Ross,
Dan and I want to thank you for being part of our wonderful surprise party.
We were so completely unsuspecting that has taken a while for it to sink in for us to sort through all our emotions!
All of us mentioned how-when we tell people about our many years together at Lincolnwood, they look at us with shock and even a bit of envy. How can a family of that magnitude spend a week together and all get along? Dan and I
believe that the unusual strength of our family bonds allows us all to look beyond minor differences. We are an extremely diverse group-with many different tastes, goals and even senses of humor. But we all share the same love of family, Lincolnwood, and just having a good time! We also draw strength from each other in times of struggle. And to be sure when one hurts, we all hurt.
Thank you, Beth, Ross, Autumn, Carson, and Landon for sharing our lives, our party, and your Lincolnwood!
Warmest Regards and God Bless! Vicky and Dan
